Critical thinking is the active process of problem analysis and solution synthesis by challenging assumptions and considering possible alternatives. The process of critical thinking is derived from assimilation of empirical evidence, past experience and alternative viewpoints as well as directed information gathering focused on reducing uncertainty.   Embraced as a key element of military planning, critical thinking results in a more deliberative decision-making process and course of action development for the mission objectives with broader consideration of factors in the operational environments.

Our approach to Decision Support is to provide technologies that help foster and facilitate critical thinking in the decision-making and planning process. We empower both individual planners and collaborative groups of planners by focusing them on the key variables that impact mission success and explore alternative courses of action.  We offer tools that combine intelligent information management, decision analysis, uncertainty management, and risk management, with predictive algorithms to facilitate course of action development and analysis at a higher level of scrutiny.
